Sunshine, kayaking, rowing, fishing and swimming, getting toasted and eating light. These are the days we looked forward to all winter.

This is my monster pumpkin vine out back. It's fun counting the days until Cinderella's coach shows up! around October, I guess.

Thinking of new projects, like painting the kitchen. Maybe I should paint some folk art beanstalks in there, climbing up the walls.

Ice breakup, finally...soon there will be fish sniffing around. Last year my youngest daughter saw a huge one pop out of the water and nip at a duck. King Kong of the fish world. Looking forward to rowing and fishing, swimming and basking. This ACEO is called Beautiful spring but she looks French to me for some reason so I call it Joli Printemps instead. Ooh lala.

Husband calls these pie faces. It's blowing and brrrrr cold again today. The lake is still frozen as usual this time of year. Cold means I get to bake. Gingerbread, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal raisin cookies and other health food.
